Grandmacore Pantry Organization That Actually Works

Grandmacore Pantry Organization That Actually Works

A pretty pantry is nice, but a pantry you can actually find things in is better — the good news is those two things aren't in competition. Here's how I keep mine both organized and the kind of pretty that makes you want to leave the door open.

Group Like With Like First

Before anything gets a label or a jar, sort everything into categories — baking, breakfast, snacks, spices. It sounds obvious, but this one step is what makes the rest of the pantry actually functional instead of just photogenic.

Decant Into Jars and Tins

Flour, sugar, oats, tea — anything that comes in a bag or box is a candidate for a jar or tin. It's not just about looks, either; things stay fresher longer and you can actually see when you're running low.

Label Everything, and Make the Labels Pretty

This is the step that turns a functional pantry into one you're proud of. I use fun labels for a lot of my projects and home decor. One of my favorites is the Vintage Floral Farmhouse Tin Labels from The Paper Nest. Simply print, cut, decoupage on, done. Instant upcycle on a thrifted tin that you can use for storage!

Give the Cabinets Themselves Some Love

If your pantry cabinets are dated or beat up underneath all that new organization, it's worth giving them a fresh coat before you fill them back up. Dixie Belle chalk mineral paint goes on beautifully over old cabinetry and holds up to the day-to-day of a working pantry.
